Hmmmm… surprises…a couple of years ago, my parents gave us some garden centre vouchers for Christmas – they lasted as long as the Boxing Day sales and a novelty we picked up at the check-out at Palmers in Taupo was a rather small – may be 15cm high – fly trap…it took a while to settle in but since spring, it has just exploded in height. We’re not quite sure what we’ve down right with it but it seems to be working…

Our surprise this Christmas was a flower – who knew these things flowered…?

It’s not too bad at catching bugs but if it starts to sing, it’s out of here…!
